RDX Hackability

Just trying to understand this a bit.

In our base we connect by-

bluetooth to devices

sat radio to the car

Are these vulnerable?

What do you mean by vulnerable? Assuming you have a good code on your BT (not 0000) then only you can connect to it. The sat radio is just that, for radio, what would they hack it for and what good would it get them?

If anything, your RDX is WAY on the lower end of hackable or vulnerable when compared to these new cars that have internet right to the head unit controlling many things.

There's nothing to hack. The car has no onboard telematics. Even if someone "hacked" their way to set up their phone on your HFL, so what?

Is HFL really commonly broken on these cars? I have a 2008 RDX and a 2006 RL both with the same generation of HFL and they work fine. Unfortunately they don't support BT music streaming, but at least in the rare instances I need to talk on the phone, I can do it safely.

HFL in my RDX worked like a charm. HFL in my MDX was GONE.

Our HFL works fine too.

My question about hackability is based on recent news that says anything connected by BT to a computer is hackable.

To be clear, hacking a smart phone connected to the car by BT.

Lmao the HFL barely works as it is, doubt it would support hacking but on a serious note. Anything digitally connected is susceptible to hacking, however remote hacking would not be possible, they would have to be in range and your phone would have to be connected and I'm sure they would have to bypass some security checks.
