RDX Ground Clearance

I just read the full specs on the RDX. I love everything about it, except for one fact. The RDX seems to be one of the smallest SUVs around in terms of height and ground clearance. The height is 65.2 in and clearance of 6.2 in. Just to have an idea, the Mitsu - Outlander, has a height of 66.3in and ground clearance of 8.3in. To me, the outlander is one the smallest (height&clearance) SUVs around.

Does anyone has any thoughts?

I don't care about ground clearance. This is an urban SUV, not one to go off roading in. Also, if the Outlander is 2" higher off the ground and 1" taller than the RDX, then that means overall it's smaller than the RDX, no? (length excluded)

This machine is definitely in the class of small 5-seater SUVs. Compare to the X3 and FX35 - very similar in all dimensions including height but not ground clearance (6.25" for RDX, 8.0" for X3 and ?? for FX35). This one's built more for sport and less for snow - although the SH-AWD should help.

Matrix

I guess its just me, but in terms of looks, it looks similar to a very nice Toyota Matrix (sorry to say). I was expecting it to be higher. I guess I will have to wait until it hits the dealers in Puerto Rico.

Take care guys!

Yep.. I said the same thing re: the Pontiac Vibe (the Matrix's sister car).

im disappointed in terms of ground clearance, if you look closely at the PR photos, you can see the pipes hanging out underneath of the car at eye level

still better than the last gen camry which had it's exhaust pipe literally hanging 3-4 inches off the ground.
