RDX front spoiler??
Really interested in picking one of these up for my ride, can you guys tell me if it already comes painted...and where is the best/cheapest place to get one? As a matter of fact, where is the best place to buy accessories for our cars?
The stealer is probably overpriced and not worth it. Any help would be great...thanks!

If u look on ebay...check pricing. Some places will ship it painted, some will not, depends on who you get it from. Try getting a low price from an ebay seller/dealer and having your dealer match it.
Just make sure that if u order from a website that the price reflects the painted piece (if thats what you want)

I think they are all painted - by Honda - before they are shipped to dealers. All of the ones I have seen on ebay and in Accessories catalogs list different colors each with their own part number.

Ohh nice, just found them on e-Bay for like $288 bucks or something painted. How did you guys attach yours? Is it just double sided tape with some screws? And does it come with the proper hardware?
Thanks!

It was easier installing them on ramps (front end). This way you are not bending down as much and I rolled around on a wheeled stool. If you don't have ramps, don't sweat it since most people on here did them without the ramps.

Ohh man, I was just reading the PDF....did you guys all actually remove the whole front bumper, disconnect the battery and do all the other 500 steps??
I didn't think I was going to have to go through so much drama to just install a lip?
Please someone tell me that I can do this with just ramps/lift and NOT having to remove the entire bumper???

My spoiler is on it's way, and should be here in time for me to install over the July 4 weekend.
If you don't have to disconnect the battery, do you still have to do those final steps, about lowering and raising the window?
That doesn't make any sense to me.

If you DO NOT disconnect the battery, then this step is not needed as the windows were never reset. The only thing I worry about is why they ask you to disconnect the battery in the first place. This is most likely do to the airbag sensors in the front bumper. They must be really close or sensitive to areas you are working on and I'm sure the dealer has this step to protect against accidental airbag deployments.
Now that I know the front bumper has to be removed...I'm gonna disconnect the battery for sure. I don't want them to accidentally deploy and have the dealer tell me sorry...that's not covered as you did it yourself.

SinCity - or anyone else that has actually installed the spoiler----
Mine just arrived. I got it for $300, including freight from a NJ dealer. It only weighs 15 lbs..
But --- Do I have to remover the front bumper?
I'll be doing the install next weekend. I'd like to know how much of my three day weekend will be spent on my back, under the car.

YES! You have to remove the front bumper in order to remove the stock lower piece. Sorry....but there is no way around that step. One tip: when pulling the bumper cover off, take care when you peel it off from where it mounts near the headlamps. The tabs there are fragile.

this and the running boards id rather let the dealer do.....if something gets screwed up, at least you have some ground to stand on...id be absolutely pissed if i ruined something or gauged the paint myself....no one to blame and no one to eat the cost of fixing it.

Installing the front spoiler really isn't too difficult. Like SinCity pointed out, be careful with the plastic tabs during the removal of the front bumper. I found the electrical connectors to the fog lamps to be somewhat difficult disconnect because of a very tight fit. When I removed the front bumper a couple of brackets and a piece of fitted bumper foam fell off. It took a little while to figure out where all the pieces went, so take care and keep an eye out when you get to this point. Other than that, the instructions are pretty straight forward. The reinstallation of the front bumper and the spoiler is much easier than the removal process. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll find out this weekend.
By the way, I was able to get my spoiler for $276, including freight from an Ebay seller. Thier price was $290, "buy it now", but Ebay was funding an additional 10% discount. I don't know if that's still going on or not.

The deed is done.
One of the biggest challenges was just figuring out how to remove the clips. A one sentence job that lasted 30 minutes while I kept searching for the right tool, until I figured out that the center button just pulls up with a screwdriver.
Now I just have to figure out how to insert the pics. Does anyone have the step-by-step process? I''m not sure what to do after I select the "insert image" icon.

No, I did not. The only electrical connections that were involved were unplugging the fog lamp bulbs. Nothing else, so I didn't see any need to disconnect the battery.
I've driven the car about 50 miles today, after installing the spoiler, including at night, the fog lamps on and off, with no problems.

when are those 6ks coming in?? I'm anxious to find out how it'll look!
If I wasn't scheduled to bring in my car to fix two problems (driver's power window and left rear passenger speaker), I would probably get my 6k lows over this weekend.

FS: New In Box Front Spoiler (White) in NJ
I'm selling a brand new OEM Acura RDX Front Underbody Spoiler...it is White, and if your RDX is a different color it could easily be refinished to match your car. The Acura part number is 08F01-STK-240. I'm located in NJ and prefer local pickup but will ship at your cost. They sell for $400 at most dealerships...make an offer!
Thanks,
