RDX Commercial
Saw Acura's official RDX commercial this morning. Nothing special but still cool. The RDX is was driving something that looked a skateboard course. I think it was all CGI. I was still half asleep so I don't remember what was said. There were a few flashes of the gauges and exhaust sound clips.

Just saw the commercial on Comedy Central. We saw it last night too, but it was so quick, we didn't know it was for the RDX.
It's about a 15 second spot and it hardly shows the RDX
Maybe on Thursday when they go on sale it will increase to a 30 second spot and this one is just a teaser.

I saw two of them this morning, one practically after the other (same commercial segment) on FOX 11 in Los Angeles.

I can't take those reality shows on network TV...
Never watch them. I hope Acura doesn't waste their $$ advertising there. Although they must be making someone some money.

Well perfect timing, since i work as a marketing analyst and came across an email with the RDX advertising info:
Yea, personally the ads are alright and definitely dont compare to other automotive ads out there. As mentioned, length of ads will probably (hopefully) increase as its somewhat of a teaser, which might be the way they're playing it because all the commercials are touching on some of the main features of the RDX. But nonetheless, all 5 of the commercials are in the above article 
Acura launched a national ad campaign this week promoting its first SUV, the RDX. The SUV is tech-loaded, with Bluetooth capabilities and an MP3 auxiliary jack, and the ads target urban dwellers. TV ads were shot using computer-generated animation and are airing during top-rated TV shows such as "Lost," college football, and in movie theatres. One spot shows how the RDX connects with the road and the driver. Another ad shows a group of computers bowing down to the RDX with a voiceover stating the car is "praised by man and machine." Print ads will reach a diverse audience in publications such as Wired, Sports Illustrated, Time, Paper, Paste and Seed. Beginning Aug. 15, users can take a photo of the print RDX ads with their mobile phones, e-mail it to win@acura.com, and receive a message explaining how to get a CD containing tracks from electronic artists. Users can also enter a sweepstakes to win one of five all-expense-paid trips to Los Angeles. RPA handled all aspects of the campaign.

Where did all that money go? I barely see any TV/billboard/magazine ads for Acura. The last Acura commercial I saw was the RDX, and prior to that the RL (which I thought was great), but I only saw that commercial maybe twice. Can't remember seeing one for the TL in the longest time.
