I've looked everywhere on the car and can't seem to find a switch that will either turn on/off the light for the steering wheel controls. I've looked in the owner's manual and couldn't find anything either. Is there such a thing. My passat has a button that will turn them on/off.

 

There is no such thing....I believe that if you dim the lights all the way down they may go off, but I stand to be corrected.

 

That sucks I guess. With all the other nice things the car has it sure seems to be missing some basic stuff.

 

Yeah, that's some important stuff there. Right up there with the high level of importance of pointing out the lack of a complete leather steering wheel.

If they added everything needed to please everyone, could we still afford one?

One thing I'd change though, hand operated e-brake.
