Put on a hitch

Put on a hitch
Going to travel a lot this summer with my 2010 RDX. Decided to attach a bike rack on a hitch in the back. Got a Thule 4 bike rack for just under $200. Discovered when we put on the hitch that the rubber bumper cover gets in the way, so just pulled it on top of the hitch, out of the way. From below it looks bad, but standing behind it when it was on the ground, you couldn't see it. Problem was the bike rack arm was too short to make it far enough into the receiver to line up the hole for the bolt. Had to spend another $45 for an extender arm. Now it works and looks great. Expect some great bike trips this summer.

greyghost - I have the Thule 4 bike rack as well. What I did was get a vice and file away some of the grey handle so it would no longer rub on my bumper and now it works fine. I tried an extender but wasn't happy with how the extenders didn't seem very secure. The rack was moving way too much in my estimation.
