Potential Rust Trap
After a year of use the lower door seals were found to be full of wet grungy road dirt. The seal channel holds it there, where it could develop into rust.
The seals are friction fit; just pull down at the back of the front door and the front of the rear door. Here is a picture of the dirt in the seal channel and on the flange of the rear door:
For reference here is what it looks like after cleaning:
The seal channel has an internal metal form which can be pinched together some to make for a tighter fit. This may help keep some of the dirt out, but the end of the seal channel is open, and road spray can still find it's way in.
They are quite easy to clean though.

Fund to liberate XLR8R
Yet another invaluable post about keeping the RDX pristine. Excellent information, especially for those of us in the Salt Belt.
But - Oh, my Brothers & Sisters, the shocking pics in this thread have proven that XLR8R and his harmless Bongo clan are indeed under siege, a point to which he humorously and subtly referred in other posts. Not only is this man a saint, he apparently scoffs at the black helicopters and efforts to impinge his freedom whilst delivering the goods to his fellow forumers. We must mobilize to come to his aid!
All seriousness aside, check out those pics. Look at the surface below the door thingys. An epoxy-like coating, commonly found inside upscale suburban garages, F1 and NASCAR shops. Anyone get it yet? Yes, those pics were taken inside. He was washing and cleaning his RDX inside. There is no better proof that XLR8R bears the heavy yoke of government scrutiny. He can't even wash his RDX outside. What person could tolerate this travesty?
NOT ME! To those who may be nay-saying, consider this: what right-minded person would put that coating on a driveway or parking apron - slick as snot when wet! FIE, FIE I shout to the black helicopters! We need to take action!!!

Or maybe his driveway is just substantially more pimpin than yours.
