Positive review - 4 day road trip in an Acura RDX

Just saw this youtube clip which has a review of a 2010 Acura RDX at the end of the video (minute 2:38). The review is based on a 4 day road trip and for the most part it was all positive. There's also info on the new subaru and a new car called the Zenvo ST1.

I was a very positive review for the FWD RDX. It is kinda a shame Acura does not advertise more on TV/Radio/sporting events. I think I might of seen one RDX commercial in the last 2 years. They hardy include the RDX in comparison test in the three big auto mags.

correct me if im mistaken, but Acura is like THE car manufacturer advertised during the last few superbowls ....

but i do agree - its almost always left out of many comparison tests, however, the MDX is usually the benchmark for the SUV category but you dont see much of the rest, usually initially but usually not in retest type situations

They are mostly trying to sell the TL. When was the last time you seen a RL, TSX, or RDX commerical in the last 6-12 months?

I think Acura has a great product that no one is aware of. It seems it is not who has the best product; but, who has the best marketing of their product.

I often wonder why there is no RDX advertising. Perhaps they sell all they make without spending the advertising bucks?

well....my theory is that acura sells acura. same thing w/Honda...they just sell themselves. its been that way for quite a long time. Now, w/acura, if they actually perceive themselves as competitors to german makers, they will enter ad wars...the problem is tho when you have inferior products how do you attack? BMW/Audi have just basically gone after the customer and not the product these days (their commercials are hilarious i think) but Acura chose to do it with a reliability/value tactic. Their only somewhat 'our product is better' commercial is the stupid 'hi flow' exhaust one for the TL. So i guess, its one thing to call more attention to the strengths of your own product, its another to get aggressive in advertising against better competition - other than SHAWD, what does Acura have a claim to? (its 'award winning' stereo of course) but seriously, they claim reliability & resale, which they still run, or, they claim 'the most powerful acura ever' but its still 25+ off the mark of a base G37...you get my drift.

maybe they should run one about their 'original' controversial styling who knows, but i dont think acura is lacking due to ads, yet
