Paint
Has anyone painted there beak or fog light lenses on there 2010 yet? It looks nice on other models and was hoping to see it on the RDX. I am definitely going to do mine, just waiting for better weather!

I plan on painting the beak on our 2010 in the spring. I think I'm going to paint just the beak part and leave the silver " v " surround as is. If it doesn't look right I'll have it done as well.

I may have to try this as soon as weather permits(painted fog trim). Side marker reflectors are removed, not the turn signals. Turn signals are within the inner most part of the headlight unit.

I went to LORDCO today and ordered the color match paint for my RDX. The paint will be ready for monday and then I can paint my fog light shroud. I can not wait to get rid of the bright silver finish.
I am also looking at biting the bullet and buying some 19 RonJon Wheels! LOL...I love the Inspyre Liquid Graphite! I hope to hear back on pricing next week. I am Canadian so I will be really curious to see how much!

Please please please let us know how it turns out! Post pictures too.
My fog light shrouds have gotten several rock chips already (black plastic underneath the silver paint). Hope that your paint holds up.

You can order your own custom color or factory paint match in a spray can from paintscratch.com. I did this for my tsx and painted the factory grill surround and it came out great. Held up pretty well too, then I purchased my Mugen grill. I'll probably go this route for the fog trims on the RDX, but I'll have the beak painted professionally.

The paint is being mixed into spray bomb. It is base and then I will clear it after. I have painting experience, so I am positive it will turn out nice. I will do the beak in the spring when the weather is better. I will use a spray gun for that most likely, but you can get just as nice of a job with a spray can.

Well just an update. I received my paint today and was going to get started. Tried to nicely pry the lens frames off to paint with no success. Phoned by dealership and had the parts guy send me the diagram for removing them. To my surprise and disbelief, the bumper has to be removed in order to get the four screws out that hold the frames on. Needless to say, what a P I A. Oh well, Im gonna hold off for a few days, till I get some patience..lol

I started to make an attempt yesterday to remove the front bumper and gave up. Lots of work for a little bit of paint. Patience ran out and i reassembled for the meantime...lol. I am not sure if I will do this project now or not. If anyone is interested, I do have the instructions from ACURA on our front bumper, shield, and fog light removal. That is another PIA, the front bumper has to come off to get at the fog lights!

Removing the bumper is a piece of cake. I took ours off twice in the first two weeks we had it to change the D2S bulbs and install an HID kit into the fog lights. I'm going to wait until the weather gets nice before I attempt any painting. We just got 8 inches of snow here in Dallas, Texas of all places.

gunho, don't give up! I remember looking at the diagrams on http://estore.honda.com and seeing that the bumper had to come off to get at the fog trim. Which is why I thought about buying a set of the fog trim, painting that, and if I get them into a good enough state, then I would go through removing the bumper and swapping them out. I think the cost for the trim was $48 bucks a side.
I'm still tempted to, but I have no experience in the painting part.

I thought about buying 2 new trim pieces and painting them. Then take the bumper off and swap, but they stupid things from Acura were almost 90 bucks a piece!

for whatever its worth, i noticed that the TL now has a sport grille and rear bumper treatment. It smokes out the grille and mesh including the strip on the back---RDX should def have this option.. shockingly, lol, it doesnt. if they are going to put the same terrible grille on each model, they should offer the same option
