Other RDX forums?

I like this forum, but it isn't exactly bustling with activity. Are there any other more active RDX forums? I've looked at a bunch, but they are all basically dormant.

Yeah, the TOV board is dead. I'm just used to NSX Prime which is always buzzing with activity and there's always quite a bit to read that's interesting.

I’ve been perusing the RDX forums since I bought my RDX about 3 months ago. I think almost every topic has already been covered in one way or another hence the lack of activity.

Forums like these are dependent on what's new and what's in the pipeline. Once some info starts to leak out about the '10 (MMC?) things will pick up. I have been a member of AcuraZine since 2004 and there is always something to read about on this forum and the others. All in all, this is a great site make so by its members, and the owners.

If you want more topics, feel free to start them

This is the oldest RDX forum online, so it's true, with just one model, many of the discussions have already been had. But, this doesn't mean you guys can't talk about your day to day experiences etc with your RDX's

There are only about 30,000+ RDX owners out there, and from what I see on the road, the majority are driven by women, who don't usually frequent sites like this. Then lets be really generous and say half of the remaining people would frequent a discussion site. That leaves about 7,000 people in the world who have an RDX and would even be candidates to talk about it. Now factor in that the car is in it's 3rd model year essentially unchanged and you have your answer in regards to nobody talking about it.

There was a lot of activity in the various forums when the RDX first came out. Since then, there have not been any significant changes, so not much need to talk about the vehicle. If you search this forum, there is lots of useful info about the RDX.

All great points. For those remaining 7,000 people, there's really not much to talk aboutregarding the RDX. Model is still too new to have any widespread problems leading to threads about DIY maintenance and repair. Model is too boring to inspire much innovation in the aftermarket world, so not many threads about exhaust systems, body kits, upgraded brakes, etc.

Okay, here are my 2 cents..I don't think that the sex demographic is entirely correct, but who cares...I find that regardless of sex, most average people, don't frequent sites like this, most average consumers simply buy the car and take it to the garage when the car tells them to do it, or when there is something broken. This is part of the reason why people feel and get ripped off at garages, because they have no idea what's wrong with the car. Unless there are major recalls or issues that would put the car in the news, there won't be much activity.
The reason why I started frequenting car forums (aside from being a car enthusiast) is because I have owned Saabs (still do), and let me tell you, they are the trickiest cars that I have ever seen. There have been many issues related to defective/cheap parts that break often in all cars, so you do have something to talk about....possible fixes, how to prevent them from breaking, etc. Aside from that, I just visit the general board (ramblings here) and just "chat" with people. I find that you can become friends with people that live in your area, and that if they are more experienced with the brand they can help you and give you advise.

I already said too much, better get back to work...

p.s. I am happy that there is not that much to talk about, which means that the cars are running well and owners are happy.....

I wouldn't say that the car is too boring to inspire aftermarket accessories. I think the biggest issue is that most of the upgraders are 20 year olds pimping out their econo-cars. They can't afford a $40k car. The RDX doesn't attract the same crowd that the Escalade does, so the target market isn't really interested in modifications.

also, the MAIN reason why aftermarket support isn't that high is because this is a CUV/SUV. High height ride + high curb weight does not equate to being a good modding platform. Also, it's not a highly sought after car. Which is a good thing (rarity on road) and bad thing (resale value and aftermarket parts).

check out electronics, performance parts, do it yourself (diy), and repairs sub forums, some good stuff there! this is the general forum (as you probably noticed) i have been here since just as the RDX came out, and this is the most popular and active rdx site there is that i have found
