Hi -

My driver's side mirror is broken, at least the housing is.

I would like to replace it, but have searched and have not found instructions. I assume I will need a whole new mirror assembly (the part that folds in), but wonder if this is a do it myself kind of fix. If not, my bro-in-law is a mechanic and he'll help.

The turn signal part of it still works, but the housing looks lame and the mirror itself is loose.

i got it done at the dealership, (backed the truck out and hit the side mirror (backed out too fast and I only had 2 hours of sleep))

gotta replace the entire unit

Thanks mau108. I know you are in Canada, so the price will be different, but do you recall the price to replace? Just trying to budget it. And please tell me if the number you quote is in CDN $.

$229 just for the housing most places I've looked. Mine isn't "broken" per se, more cosmetic damages and a tiny 1" crack.
