Not happy with my new DLR blubs
Ok I didn't spend a ton on a pair of 9005 bulbs. I just couldn't rationalize $70 for DRL...
So I went cheap (Around $10) and ordered a pair of "simulated HID white beam" type bulbs. The brand is Optics Synergy.
In DRL mode they look DIMMER than the standard Sylvania's that came with the RDX. Not only Dimmer, but the color temp looks EXACTLY the same.
In HIGH BEAM mode they also seem slightly dimmer, but at least they look SLIGHTLY different. If the Stock bulbs are 3000K these MIGHT look 3200K in HIGH BEAM mode...a difference that is hardly noticeable unless you are seriously staring and really comparing.
So needless to say I'm a little disappointed...but that's what you get for $10 I guess.
Did anyone else find success with any cheaper bulbs?

I dont think you can get a set of bulbs for DRL and expect the color to be as if it was powered on standard/high beam mode. After searching, I also believe that you will not find a decent type of bulb to output the color you expect, unless you choose LED.
The set (Hoen) that i got looks great on high beam (although dimmer), but the color temperature looks the same, since it's operating on DRL output.

for my DRLs i went with 3000k yellow bulbs, it's a taiwanese brand called beamboy, they're about CAD$25. they're quite yellow and i can't tell the difference in brightness between these and the stock bulbs. i like them because they give the car a very unique look, sort of separate mine from the rest of the RDXs on the road ![Tongue](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
will be switching the foggies to them later too, had the bulbs for like 6 months but was too lazy to do it.
