New RDX Owner

hey guys!

i had just sold my 2003 rsx-s last tuesday and i picked up a white rdx with tech on friday. i seriously LOVE that thing! i can't wait to drive it or just even sit in it, hahah! only thing is that it's so thirsty on the good stuff and with fuel prices going up, it totally sucks...

i was looking at a 2006 FX35 with tech before considering getting a new rdx but i'm glad i chose the rdx!

welcome to the RDX community!

how did you like the fx35 compared to the RDX?

I favored the fx35 before looking at the RDX but once I sat in the RDX and drove it, the rest was history.

nj2Type-S congrats on the new purchase. The fuel usage will get better. Not great but better. On my first tank of gas I got only 12.9mpgs. I'm now averaging about 20.1mpgs and that's 95% city driving (Boston).

mzhao84 - thanks! i absotlutely loved the fx but it felt really small inside. it looked much bigger outside. i drove it and i love the sound the engine makes but like yourself, once i got in the rdx and actually drove it, i fell in love with it.

phoward_15 - i really hope so. fuel economy on the rdx is the only thing that i hate about it. everything else is just top notch. overall, i'm very pleased with it.

i'm in NYC and yesterday I did a 30 mile highway trip out to the city and I averaged 27mpg. luckily no traffic so I was just cruising along. When I drive in the city, I drive it harder for some reason so that brings my average down to 15-17mpg. Which isn't bad considering the fun and satisfaction I get. Remember, this is a 4000lb turbo SUV with full time awd. Did we really expect superb mpg?
