New from NC

We bought a 2010 white RDX with the Tech package a couple of weeks ago. We are leaving in a few minutes for a road trip in the Blue Ridge mountains for the weekend. I'm all giddy with anticipation

This will be my wife's primary car and I inherited her Honda Pilot as my primary car. I am not a fan of the mushy mini van ride, but I do it for love. I will hopefully get some nice mountain pics of the RDX to post in later.

My other love is my 2005 Jeep liberty CRD diesel. I've put over 150,000 miles on her and drives more like the rdx than the pilot. Thanks for maintaining this support group.

Congrats Crashore on the new RDX! Look forward to seeing those pics!

We truly enjoyed the handling of the RDX on the twisties, and I found that the paddle shifters were a great convenience holding the speed down on the hills.

scenery looks gorgeous... the RDX as well... there's just something about white with black accents, just reeks of clean.

Great pics! Nice looking RDX in white. I've never had a white car. It may look awesome when clean but a pain in the neck to do so. Great scenery as well. Makes me want to just get away from the daily grind.

The wife chose the white because it toned down the ugly-ness of that front end, in her eyes. Actually, the dealer was bringing in aftermarket grills for the TL's and the TSX's, but had not found one for the RDX yet. The aftermarket looked pretty sweet in my eyes, but I'm getting used to the stock grill now.

Do you have FWD or SH-AWD and how was your overall gas mileage so far for you trip?

I wish the RDX had a 6AT, maybe the next gen will.

We have the SH-AWD and finished the trip at around 20mpg. That would not be a good indicator of normal gas mileage, as it still only has 500 miles on the odometer and I was a little heavy on the gas pedal...a little to often.

On a side note, the paddle shifters worked well but I would prefer the floor shifter for that task. I found that as I was coming down a hill in a curve, with the steering wheel turned, I could not find the darn paddles.

I have a 06 TSX 5AT and 08 RDX and I agree the floor (console) shifter is a lot easier to use overall compared to the paddles. I use the console shifter every day in the TSX and only once or twice a week on the RDX. Other than needing a brighter navi screen during the day, the RDX is a great traveling vehicle.

As long as I'm above 20mpg average I'm happy with that.

same experience, alot of the time i just forget the paddles are even there...i used the stick ALOT when i had my cx-7, my gf just upgraded from an 07 TSX to the 2010, and that was one of her first things noticed/complaints - likes the stick better, so do i, more manageable and natural, imo

I use the paddles and S mode 90% of the time.

No biggie! I've had quite a few people ask me that since I got it on the car.
