Smile New '08 RDX Owner!

Hello everyone! I am a proud owner of a new 2008 RDX purchased on June 24th. It is Carbon Bronze Pearl with ebony interior. It seems most people that order the CBP color get the taupe interior so I had to have my dealer special find this vehicle for me. Not only that but Acura discontinued the CBP color choice for 2009?!? Why, I don't know. My dealership did a great job and I feel I got a decent price as well as it's an '08 and the '09s are coming in. The lack of a passenger power seat doesn't bother me at all. The seat is more than comfortable enough. I had my brother take the RDX for a test drive while I was in the passenger seat and I was perfectly comfortable. This car (SUV) is an absolute blast to drive! I traded in my 2003 Acura CL Type-S which was VERY sporty and fast but the RDX is so phenomenal that I don't miss the CL at all. Matter of fact, the handling of the RDX feels so amazing I think it would easily out corner the CL (which was a sports coupe)! Below is a recent picture.

Thanks! Congrats on your RDX purchase as well. I thoroughly like the all new redesigned look of the 2009 TSX and it was a serious consideration. But, I really wanted the SH-AWD. Glad I chose the RDX! It has amazing road feel, and I can't wait for the first snowfall this coming winter. :-) I could have got a "bargain" on a '08 MDX but because of its mammoth size, weight, gas mileage I opted for the RDX. No regrets. I'm a single person so it would have been way overkill to get an MDX.

yeah the MDX is way too big for me as well. Any mods you are thinking of doing? i might consider switcing to a 255 tire. someone here has done it and he felt more side grip and traction on the corners, plus im sure it looks a lot better with a little wider rubber

Yeah, I just ordered a K&N air filter. If it actually does anything for performance who knows. But they do typically increase the sound effect of the intake! I also ordered a chrome "Type-S" emblem. I will place it some where on the rear of the RDX. Strickly cosmetic but I think the Type-S emblems are cool. Not sure exactly where I will place it yet. I'll figure it out after I receive it. I'll take some pictures.

As for the tires, yeah, you can go to 255 but make sure to reduce the aspect ratio to 50 from 55 or they will be too big. 255/50/18 measures 28.04 height vs. the stock 235/55/18 which measure 28.18! Almost identical.
