I ran out of fuel today in my Ford Tauras rental car. On the side of the fuel cap cover, it informed me that Ford only recommended BP fuel. I could not find a BP fuel station, so I walk to the airport.

Hello everyone.

I contacted Royal Purle yesterday about the standard and they are working to get there oil there. I've used RP for quite some time now and don't want to stop, but I'll wait for the "legal" stuff to be marketed.

I thought you were kidding when you said you use Castrol GTX in your RDX. If you were serious, you are taking a huge risk with your warranty if something goes wrong with your engine and you're not using a synthetic oil that meets Acura's HTO-06 standard (IMHO). Sorry for not being clear.

Castrol GTX is mineral oil. The heat generated in the turbo bearings will coke the oil after each shut-down and cause premature failure.

Yes and it's one of the best, but as you said, it doesn't cut it for a turbo.
