Middle Muffler on an 07

Has anyone deleted the little middle muffler & if so, did it cause any trouble codes?
There does not appear to be any sensors on it, so it should be OK, right?
Does deleting it do any thing for sound or performance?

I did not delete the muffler, but try gutting the second cat.

I have gutted my middle cat along with a downpipe. I should have an old thread somewhere detailing how I gutted the cat with a pry-bar and hooked it all back up. Been running with no cats for probably close to 100k and no issues. I can't even recall if I am using an O2 fouler on the second sensor that is how trouble free it has been.

Everything is stock, all pipes and muffler, just custom downpipe and gutted second cat. No droning and a nice subtle growl under hard load. Honestly the sound is perfect as is, funny since I've spent so much time with other cars trying to find the right setup, this one was perfect without trying. Obviously emissions aren't great but it cost $0, very easy to do, sounds perfect and replacing the cat will give you a bigger gain in power (whatever it is) over replacing a muffler.

youd be better served with ditching the primary cat on this particular vehicle. id recommend the rv-6 product as it is proving to be very reliable and also good value for money.
