MID oil change reminder - longer after factory fill?
i just had my B1 service done yesterday with oil life at 15%. this is the 2nd oil change I've done for the RDX. What confuses me a bit is the length of time and mileage it took for my 2nd oil change vs the first. I've not varied my driving pattern, distance and split btwn hwy/city driving...
Here's the comparison:
1) First oil change: A1 at 4500 miles after 7 months from purchase - changed oil and oil filter, 15% life still remaining
2) 2nd oil change: B1 at 5500 miles (now at 10k miles total eg. 4500+5500) after 8 months since first oil change - changed oil and oil filter, 15% life still remaining
My question is:
a) Did my MID indicator light up earlier for the A1 as it was factory fill oil?
b) Or could it be that it was sitting on the lot a bit prior to my first oil change and hence it probably is "similar" to my 2nd service at 5500 miles and 8 months (net, the vehicle prolly sat in the lot prior to purchase for 1 mo). The odometer on purchase was at 16 miles.
c) Or, doubtful as it is, could it be that winter weather makes the oil last longer? Given that I drove from Feb to Aug for the 1st oil change and Sept to April for the 2nd oil change (eg. longer winter from Nov to Feb)?
Thanks for any thoughts

Was in to the local dealer for my first service visit today; aprx 5500 miles and 6 months since new, also still had 15% oil life remaining too. With variations in seasonal driving, a thousand miles one way or the other for the MID to indicate service is due is within reason IMO.
