maintenance schedule for AWD differential
Anyone can enlighten on the fluid change interval of the AWD differential? I understand that AWD systems require more intensive maintenance than say the Toyota's Torque-on-Demand or CRV's Realtime systems.
I am not referring to the automatic transmission fluid, rather the AWD differential.

According to the RDX Maintenance Schedule, the Rear Differential is a '6' check though that does not translate to miles. However they do say that if your typical driving environment is low-speed mountain-areas or heavy towing, the first change is at 7500 miles / 12,000 km, followed by changes every 15,000 miles / 24,000 km.
The rear differential happens to use the same ATF fluid so that makes it easy. The 6 service typically comes up around 10-14K miles on the RL board, so I imagine that the RDX cannot be too different. Apparently how you drive it also makes a difference in when the 6 comes up in the MID, but apparently from advisory in owners manual, the computer cannot tell if you have been towing something
