About three or four days ago my 07 RDX with about 14100 miles displayed the service Code A16 on the dash. For some on Godly reason I cant find this service code in the maintenace sectionof the car manual. COuld some please help me out and let me know what does this code means?

thanks for the help. I am assuming that there is no A16 service and its just the combination of the A1 and A6 services. Is this correct?

 

A16 means A1 service + "6" which indicates a rear differential fluid change.

 

Has anyone had an A16 and what it might cost?

i had B16 last time and it was about 135 with tax if i remember correctly.

 

Does that mean you had a B1 + 6 (rear diff fluid change?)

Tire rotation
Cabin air filter change
Rear diff. change
Fill all other fluids
Royal Purple MAX ATF in rear diff.
Adjust headlights up
Wash and detail

Parts/fluids $148
Labor $285

Total $382

That was my cost. Save some money and do some of it yourself.

 

I just had to have my A16. I checked with an Acura dealer, and was quoted the cost of $189+taxes. I went to my local Honda dealer and had it done yesterday for $131 inlcuding taxes.

The A16 was as described by JMJ3rd, except for the Cabin filter change and headlight adjustment.

Probably cheaper to do it all yourself, but if you like the convenience, then try your Honda dealer - same parts, same service, better price.
