Leather cleaner and conditioner

Just wanted to get some opinions on what to use to clean the leather seats and possibly putting some kind of conditioner on them.

I've never cleaned any of my leather seats in my last 2 cars (other than a vacuum and wipe down with water every now and then)...but both cars we only kept for 3 years each, so never had any problems. And since I plan to keep my RDX for a while, thought I'd better take care of the leather this time around. =b

I'm sure I'll get lambasted by the true detailers in the room, but I use plain old Armor All. It has worked great on all three of my Acuras, and kept my old CL's interior looking great for 8 years.

On my Lexus I use Klasse Cleaner/Protectant (http://www.autogeek.net/klasvinleatr.html) which has done a great job as well on the admittedly higher-quality leather and materials in my 8 year-old GS. It doesn't result in quite as glassy a finish as the Armor All, and seems to stay looking good for longer than the Armor All between applications.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, I don't like that shiny leather look. That is partly the reason I have avoided conditioners in the past.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Lexol cleaner and conditioner. I have the taupe interior and am using the Neatfoot...like the smell of the regular one better though. Nonsticky, not shiny, clean.

I started using the turtle wax brand, which is the "ICE" line of products. It is their interior cleaner that is non-abrasive, no oils, and leaves a clean, stock look, without any type of greasy feel.

I tried it on the frontier that had a ton of dust on the dashboard, which came out to look pretty clean. After that turned out great, I tried some on the leather and it does the job and leaves a plain, clena look, without any oils.

The bottle states that it was on all type of materials (leather, plastic, vinyl, and cloth), so i know it's not something too abrasive.

I have to try out the ICE car wash; I just bought a bottle for $8, the highest priced on the walmart display of car soaps. The ICE interior cleaner also comes with a Chamoi <SP...

Alot of folks over on autopia.org like leather masters. If you have any detailing questions, I'd check autopia. Very knowledgeable people.

Leather Treatments

I've used a number of items referenced on this thread and they all have their virtues. I haven' used the Klasses leather products so I can't talk about them--but their polishes are among my favorites. But for leather, Griot's has two products that are really good. Their regular Leather Care treats the leather as you'd expect, softens it, etc. I've had a number of people ride with me and say the leather smells brand new. They also have a newer spray on version that also works well.
