KYB vs OEM Shocks

I've noticed my RDX has lost a bit of its edge, and now one of the shock absorbers squeak and thud over bumps. I'm not looking for coilovers - I get my performance itch out of my Type R and MX-5.
KYB GR-2 looks like a good option.- it seems like they try to mimic OEM dampers

Anyone have any reviews? My searches show stuff on the 2nd gen and other Acura cars.

KYB is an OE manufacturer, I would not hesitate at all going KYB and have done so in the past as well.

I believe it's a damping diagram. Vertical would be (displacement) and horizontal would be (time)

I considered KYB, but the price and convenience of fully assembled OEM front units was good enough for me to stick with them. Saved me 2-3 hours and having to rend a spring compressor, and the extra cost was next to nothing since my strut mounts and bellows needed replacement as well.

I completed a full suspension over haul on a 2009 TSX. I'm quite happy with the KYB struts after almost 20K Kms. In Canada the dealer wanted almost $500 for the front assemblies and $400 for the rear plus taxes. It was an easy decision to reuse the coil springs. Below is a more detailed write up.

I also used KYB's to replace the factory dampers last Aug.; just like others have said that they are perfectly suitable option and makes the suspension much firmer again. Not so good when hitting bumps but very good when going through traffic circles. Don't hesitate to use the KYB's

I guess the KYB will restore me to around the factory stiffness. I remember this thing being a lot rougher a few months ago.

Get the KYB's and maybe a progress rear anti sway bar!
