Keyless Entry Autolock

Hey, does anyone know if the factory Keyless Entry system will automatically lock your doors after a certain time period? I know aftermarket alarms usually do this, but not sure on our cars. Thanks!

Yes it does.
In case if you accidentally press the unlock button on your remote , as long as doors are not open, it will automatically re-lock the doors.

Thanks, do you know how long it takes to autolock? 30 seconds? 60 seconds? Just curious.
Thanks

Just make sure you are not confusing the auot-locks with the type that lock your doors.. say 30 seconds after you turn your car off and exit. The auto-locks that we have only work if your doors are locked > then you press unlock. They will relock themselves if you do not open the door.

This is really only good for if you accidentally unlock your car (keys in pocket type thing), or if you unlock the door and say leave something inside and go get it.

Kind of pointless if you ask me, but thats the way it works.

Thought I would clarify that.

would you really want this? seems like an easy way to end up locking your keys in the car.

as for the 30 second auto-lock, i think you might be able to set the duration. don't quote me, but i recall seeing it when i was playing around with the options.

It's one of the settings you can change in the MID. It's in there somewhere, I played around with it.
