Installing an aftermarket Cabin filter into RDX

bought one from autoanything.com, manufacturer is NPN, cost about half that of the HONDA factory part.

The NPN filter looks very similar in overall build quality, came with full installation instructions.

I typically replace the cabin filter every 6 months (just before winter and right after spring), as I noticed that it gets really dirty pretty fast. Also, I like my climate control system to be operating efficiently, with minimal blockage, so that on cold winter mornings, the system is quickly warming up the interior.

Bosch and Wix are good replacement filters, but Bosch costs quite a bit more and close to that of the factory filter, so might as well buy the Honda part instead.

I definitely feel the climate control is working much more efficiently, the air coming in is definitely blowing stronger.

Do any of the filters currently available have activated charcoal to reduce oders? How do some of the aftermarket filters differ from the OEM filter?

Was it really worth it, given the exchange rate and the shipping charges + cross border duty? I can imagine if you buy rotors and other more expensive parts, that the purchase would be worth it.

you don't need OEM cabin filter, I bought Puralator from PepBoys, that looks pretty much the same as OEM, it was like $15.
