If the day comes...

Where the RDX is no longer a part of Acura's line up...what would you do with your RDX?
-Keep it?
-Sell it once you knew Acura was ditching it?
-Sell it after they stop sales?
-Would you remain an Acura customer?

I think I honestly would NOT remain an Acura customer unless I could get an MDX around the price of an RDX Tech. Or, if they came out with some sort of replacement suv w/o a 3rd row....Wishful thinking, but nonetheless, thats about it.

Im just talking here but Acura has lost me with their cars in 2009. The only 2 I like are the trucks. After that, they are just too, i dunno, odd? As much as I appreciate the Acura touches, I would probably just go buy a Honda and be happy. If not a Honda, I would give serious consideration to the Infiniti FX (not the EX)

If the CX7 was not the piece of garbage that it is, that would have been on top of my list if the RDX dissapears. Since I buy my cars, Audi's trucks are out of the question but they are probably making the most appealing stuff right now with the A3 & especially the Q5.

just talking out loud here...this board seems to be quiet recently.........

you shouldn't cross audi off your list, they have really impoved their reiability over the past couple of years. check out consumer reports, most are recommended

as a audi owner my self i can say the build quality is terrific and i have had no reliability issues

it drives awesome and looks beautiful

I'm sticking with Acura and the RDX unless it goes poof in a year or two. I would then would look at whatever CUV Acura comes up with. I love the versatility of a CUV and the higher driving position, but no MDX for me.

If the RDX was cancelled, my plans wouldn't change. But if I was shopping today, I would be in a G37x.

If I was shopping for the same type of vehicle today, the GLK is pretty solid - though I'd have to see how that interior looks in real life. It's definitely priced aggressively for Canada though.

So wait a minute...the missing variable here is if you guys are owning or leasing your cars. If your leasing then yes I understand that you would get rid of the RDX once your lease was up. But if you own your RDX are you saying that you would "ditch" it right away? That seems a little ridiculous to me. I just bought my RDX and plan on keeping it for a good 6-8 years no matter what happens with the RDX. Now once I'm done with the RDX after that time I will see what's available and will probably remain a loyal Acura customer but that's way down the road. Depends on how my customer service is over that time.

I will have it for at least the next 5 years (loan) unless I need to upgrade to a bigger car....So far so good for service, it's the first time that I buy a car at a dealership (CPO) and with warranty, I am used to buying used Saabs (can't beat their price due to depreciation) and living in the NE you can get them fixed and serviced cheap (that's relative). Anyways, It is nice to know that I will be covered with (extended) warranty to 100K miles.....

This is my first Acura. (I previously was a BMW man and currently own a 1970 BMW 2002 as a weekend car). Having said that, BMW quality has really gone down in the past5 years or so, not to mention, I don't like the rear end of the latest models. I buy toyotas for my wife and kids and never have had a problem with them.

I plan on keeping my RDX for as long as it will run. I'm hoping to get 10 years from it....and I recently found a great mechanic to work on it outside of the dealer.

I'm planning on having mine for at least 3-4 years before I even think of replacing it... maybe even more. But you never know what's down the road. I could have a lot more money to blow or a lot less.
