Sales figures for November 2008 released today. The Acura RDX ytd sales are down -30.5%, and month-to-date from November 2007 is down -59.4% (only 681 RDXs sold in November (647 were sold in October).) Given the recession and general auto sales slump, you'd think RDX sales would be much worse. Maybe the decrease in gas prices helped.

The new-for-2009 TL was Acura's best selling car with 3,160 sold in November. The MDX luxury SUV led Acura light truck sales with 2,101.

"The Acura Division posted sales of 7,888, a decrease of 38.9 percent compared to November 2007. The TL luxury performance sedan was the brand's top seller with sales of 3,160."

Are we sure that all of those TL sales were 2009's? My guess would have been that sales of the '08 are up since many prospective buyers don't want to get stuck with the hideous '09.
