Hey,

during my last service (not at dealership) they noted that the high pressure steering line is leaking seeping power steering fluid at its connection and recommended replacement. Has anyone else had this issue? They quoted me 425 which i feel is a little steep. Thoughts?

FYI its a 08 RDX w/ 79k

Never replaced any on an RDX, but have on other Honda products.

Not a hard job, just a little messy.

 

Hard to say, but better than the CRV's of the same time frame...they leak at the rack and require full replacement - four figure repair easily.

Assuming that hose is a normal price (cheap), they're probably billing you for 3 to 3.5 hours of labor. Depending on how much shit they have to remove to get to that hose, it may be completely reasonable.

 

I too have a small leak. Can you take a picture of where your line is leaking?
