Headlight alignment

When the headlights are turned on at night, should they be pointed at the same height? I'm noticing that the driver side is pointed a little lower than the passenger side. Is this normal?

normal. There is a little notch on the driver's side so that you don't blind oncoming traffic with the HID lights

Thanks! I was kinda thinking that's what it was but wasn't sure. This is my first car with HID lights. My last car (VW Jetta) had regular halogen lights and I don't think they were pointed at different levels. At least I never noticed it.
