Gotta pick a colour...

I'm heading out Monday to buy, and I'm torn between Silver, that carbon gray colour, and the bronze colour.

Does anyone have a colour that they regret buying, or would have picked a different one if they had to do it again?

I'm sort of leaning towards the Carbon Grey right now, but at some angles, it almost looks blue, which I don't particularly like.

I picked Carbon Gray and love it. I initially though Bronze would have been good but after seeing it in person, I'm glad I didn't. Tired of Silver.

I am having a hard time with color too. I would like red with black interior, but they are not common. My next choices are blue, carbon, or silver (all with black interior). I looked at carbon bronze a lot, but it was too much of a crap brown color for me. I like carbon gray, but in certain light it is just a dull dark gray with no character (in bright light it looks great). Silver is OK, but the bumper color is just a bit off from the body, and everybody has silver vehicles nowadays (our TSX is silver as a matter of fact). The blue looks damn good, but I am sort of worried that it is too dark (shows dirt and scratches). So none of the colors are a slam dunk for me. I gues I will know it when I see it on the lot.

I'm in the same boat, I spent 20 minutes at the dealer just looking at the colors and none of them are winning me over. I was leaning toward silver, but we have a silver Odyssey. White is not my thing, black and blue are too dark, the red is out because I have a red CRV now, so that leaves carbon gray or carbon bronze, The gray did seem too dark, the bronze was lighter, but I don't like browns.......

I seriously love black. I think it's a great color. So, what's wrong with black? Lol.

I love black too, but I have done serveral black vehicles in the past, so I have been choosing other colors lately. The downside to black is how easily it gets dirty, but when clean, it's great.

Silver gets my vote, easy to keep up, dirt and small scratches don't show and I think it just looks classy. I had a NBP 03 Accord - when it was freshly waxed it was really hot but as soon as it just one speck of dirt/dust it was all you could see.

`I LOVE the Carbon Gray. I prefer darker colors (actually hate light colors on cars). In fact, one of the reasons I am considering the RDX is that the colors are more to our liking than the other cars we are considering (CRV, RAV, CX7). With all of the others, we are sitting there eliminating the ones we dislike and then picking the ones we dislike least. With the RDX, we both loved several of the colors including the Carbon Gray and Carbon Bronze. Of course, JMHO. Jay

I have the blue, yes it does show dirt more than silver or some of the other colors. Personal preference but i like how it looks with the black interior. Happy with my choice.

I only truly entertained 2 colors, white or red. I have black TL now and just too time consuming to keep clean. The white looks great on a Tl but doesn't quite do it for me on RDX, looks too plain. The red/ebony not only looks great but as someone else mentioned, apparently pretty rare/exclusive.

Looks like Carbon Gray with taupe, but am waiting to hear on one with ebony interior that may be comparably priced ($200 UNDER invoice) by my local dealer. Hopefully this will be all over by tomorrow. Jay

We went carbon gray too, with taupe interior. Picked it up last night. Looks great. I love the deep rich colors on the RDXs. They look so much richer than the pale colors of most other vehicles. JMHO Jay

The other downside with black colored cars is the 'swirl marks' on the paint job as time goes on.

Very true. All cars get 'em, but the black displays them. Time will tell how is shows on the CGP....

Of course those swirl marks are a tell tale sign of how the car has been treated as far as washes go. If you do a nice wash, wax and buff all the time, those swirl marks should never happen, but who has time to do that!
