Got an MDX loaner car....

Took my car into the shop and got an mdx as a loaner.
Holy crap did I hate this truck. It feels like a giant boat in comparison to the RDX and seems to handle like one. To think I was actually considering buying one...
Man unless you need the size I dont see why anyone would choose an MDX over the immensely fun to drive RDX.
The MDX had the sh-awd but you sure wouldnt know it from driving it...the rdx HUGS the road--the MDX sloshes along like a wet sock.
Anyone else have this impression ?

yes even if i had the money i would not get the mdx. I liked the Mdx's before they redesigned them. The Rdx is way more fun to drive and the Mdx's styling especially the grille area is just puzzling in my opinion haha

Never driven the MDX, but IMO it is a lot better looking than my RDX. Didn't like it at first, but now I think it is really sharp.

I recieved a MDX loaner . It feels like a huge boat compared to my tsx. However, in a recent article in car and driver or road and track, it came in first place against the cad srx, x5 3.0, lr3, xc90, tourreg. The srx was the fastest, but nothing compared to the overall package of the mdx. They also had the sport package on the mdx, which I heard helps the suspension significantly. When I drove it, I almost thought they should offer it withouth sw-awd for southerners like me who do need it. It makes the car heavier and I dont think it handles that great- but it does have less body roll than my tsx.

I have both vehicles (07 RDX/Tech and an 07 MDX Sport) The base model MDX doesn't handle as well as the sport model with the Active Damper System. I take the MDX over the RDX any day. I love my RDX but not for daily driving. It's a blast to drive on the weekend and twisties, so is the MDX in sport mode with ONE driver......They are two different animals........RDX: sport, MDX refined Lux/Sport.....Best of two worlds.......

bottom line is if you were to drive the RDX from SF to LA, then repeat it in the MDX, I guarantee your wife would change your mind........

This is just like debating between the TL and the TSX.

Just got my RDX back yesterday after being without it for a week while some bodywork was being done. Enterprise gave me a Ford Exploder.. I was very glad to get my RDX back, truly night and day.

I would like to drive the new MDX. I tried to rent one but dealer said no go.
