Going to vacation for 6weeks..Not Driving The Rdx..Problem?

what's up ppls.
Well Tomorrow Its Friday and today its the 5th of July..Im Leaving Tomorrow at 7h55pm eastern time to Cambodia,Vietnam,Thailand,Malaysia,Australia,China And Japan From Montreal. There's one problem. My RDX.Im Not Sure If Im going to leave it in the garage or let someone drive it for the summer to keep the engine rolling.Beacause if i leave it in the Garage,I was thinking that the Rdx may have a engine problem or steering problem something around that.Or I leave the key to my neighbour to drive it.I Dont know Yet..Help Me Choose Before 7h55pm Pepoles.
Thanks,
RdxOwner

I don't think leaving the car for 6 weeks would be an issue, given it's a new car, but it might be worth jacking up the car so the tires are off the ground, as the tires may end up with a flat spot after prolonged stationary parking.

Also might consider a trickle charger for the battery. I use one on my non-daily driver in the winter because it never gets driven when there's salt on the road.

Just tell us where you live and we will watch it for you.

(It should be fine. I've left mine for longer.)

Maybe for 6 weeks just put some extra air in the tires to help with the flat spotting. You also may want to put some gas stabalizer in your tank. I've heard arguements both ways for filling up your tank full or draining it as empty as you can before long storage.

Will be interesting to hear how your battery holds up after 6 weeks of no use....

The 3Gen TL owners have had problems leaving their TL's undriven for weeks on end due to dead battery issues. I'm hoping he took my advice with the trickle charger as I think he will experience a similar problem upon his return.

Have a good vacation, RDXer.

Given all the apparent RDX dead battery issues after only sitting for a week to 10 days, I was wondering how mine was going to hold up when I went on vacation this year. I'm happy to report that it sat for 12 days untouched and when I came home, it fired right up without even a prolonged turn.

I have one of the VERY VERY early RDXs, so I was expecting problems.

Dead battery issues?

Strange. I have one of the very early RDX's as well, left mine while I was in Mexico for 17 days. While I was gone it got extremely cold -30 celsius or so, and had about 2 feet of fresh snow on it!

Started right up.

O' Canada.
