gasoline purity...

gasoline purity...
hi guys, most of the shell gas pumps in toronto have 91 octane as its highest grade - as well, the gasoline is dispensed in a gas pump where you select 87, 89 or 91... is it worth it for me to search for individual dispensers where each nozzle is for a separate octane grade similar to this one below?

my fear is that if the user ahead of me selected 87 octane, and i want 91, then the "purity" of the 91 has been compromised (as the 87 octane rated gasoline has not been "cleaned out" from the gasoline pump hose/nozzle earlier)... and we all know that 91 is the lowest for our turbo rdx... so time to switch gas stations for me and look for 94 sunoco or those older type shell pumps where it has separate nozzle for different grades to lower risk of contamination from the earlier user? or is it a waste of time and just stick with what i have now? appreciate you guys' experiences with these multi-grade pumps with one nozzle...

Dude do you even remember how many threads have you opened since you joined back in December 2009??? You know you really don't have to open a thread for each and every single question you have, everyday.
The simple answer to your question is: No and I wouldn't even bother worry about this little thing, and you shouldn't be either!
End of story.

Although I have to agree that you have made a lot of threads for what most people would consider things that are "obvious" to any person who has owned a car before, you have that right and not let anybody discourage you from doing it, especially someone who has two posts on the board.
The RDX is just like any other car, I don't know if you have always been this concerned about your previous cars, but if you happened to put pure 87 gas in the car, it will not kill it, just don't make it a habit. Whatever "residue" of gas that you find in the shared hose is negligible.
