Just wondering if the fog lights are of any use when the low beam HID's are running.
I had fog lights on my RT and with the low beam HID's on, the fog lights were pretty much useless, since the low beam HID's were so bright, I was wondering if the same applied to the RDX.
If they help, I'll put Sylvania SS ultra bulbs on (H11)

BTW: I plan on getting a low miles 09 RDX in April or May, finally

 

my fogs are oem and they are pretty bright compared to other cars i have, specially for an h11. you can clearly tell they are on because they are very close to the ground. however functionality wise they are useless, just like other cars fogs. whatever you do do not install an hid kit in there, there are increasing number people reporting hid foglight fires.

 

Do the fog lights help a little seeing curbs when turning or they just don't help much since the low beam HID's are bright?

 

the low beams on the rdx are pretty damn wide about 160 degrees, so again the foglights are not necessary. of course in foggy weather hid low beams are useless. i suggest getting nokya h11 yellow fog bulbs which can help you in bad weather. hid are overkill and its extra brightness causes glare.

 

+1 on the yellow fog lights. I bought a pair off of ebay for about 8 bucks and they look fantastic on the car. Plus, yellow is better for the fog because of the light spectrum.

For me, I like the fog lights for esthetics more than anything else. As PICKLEr has stated, they do light up closer to the vehicle so it does make a difference but it will not enhance your distance of sight but only light up everything closer to the vehicle....but they look cool
