Fog light questions....

Are the fog lights really only available when your headlights are on? The whole purpose of fog lights is to reduce the light from your car (that's reflected back) and just illuminate the area right infront of your car so what's the point of them if you have to have your headlights on? Is there anyway I can use them without the normal night time headlights on?

It is illegal in my state to use fog lights without headlights. Don't know if that is true in other states.

I believe if you add a DRL module, you can have the fog lights turn on independently. There are different types that allow you to run the fogs at 100%, or less acting as a DRL's.

The law here in WA is that you MUST have your headlights on from 1/2 hour after sunset until 1/2 before sunrise. That means you can use fog lights ALONE for all other times.
