fog light - how is it secured?

guys, need your help/inputs/thoughts on foglights. when i was cleaning my vehicle, i noticed that i can "push" one of my foglights (the left foglight) and it is not held securely in place (eg. i can push it in)... the one on the right is solid and cant be "pushed" in. is there a clip somewhere that holds it? i have a 2010 rdx so i was wondering if i shld take it in to have it checked since it's still under warranty. (i think the armor plate might be removable in the 2010 rdx bumper so that might be an easier DIY if i could, otherwise, ill just ask the dealer to check it). what holds the foglights in place? clips? screws? - me thinks something came loose or snapped? (eg. for those who replaced their foglights they might know how these are held). thanks a bunch!

btw, additional info: im referring to the fog lamp of course, not the bulb inside (i presume there's a bulb inside the lamp). all my lights are working properly.

You could waste a lot of time worrying about it and trying to figure it out. Just take it to the dealer. You're covered.

It (the foglight assembly) is held in by three screws.

thanks brizey. have spoken with the acura reps in my dealership - they are working on it now since it's a relatively easy fix (and yes, under warranty) - they did have to remove the bumpers though (dunno why) and said they have to "realign" it to "specs" hence it'll take a bit of time (hence why im in this forum now LOL) since they're "downloading" the specs... ill leave these to them since it's still covered.

It is attached by screws to the inside of the bumper--so you have to take the bumper off to get to the screws properly. I can change one out in 20 minutes in my driveway after having done it once.

youre the man brizey. i already had the dealership replace the fog light as they said the bracket (that holds it, i presume) was broken (hence the wobbly fog light when pushed inwards). the job order stated 0.30 hr of labor plus parts - all for $0.00 cost. they had to wait for the parts for half a day but i managed to get my car on the day i took it in which is great service. - am sold on acura's service (at least in my dealership here).

brizey, just a follow up question if you dont mind. now that ive got my new left fog lamps replaced (the whole assembly not just the bulb), i tried to see how much "give" the fogs still have. it's definitely better than before as i cannot push the left fog lamp 7-10mm inwards anymore. however, seems like the left fog lamps still have a bit more "give" (eg. when you press on it it ever so slightly moves on the upper left and lower right parts of the lamp) relative to the right fog lamp (less give on the right, though not rock solid of course). i guess either the dealer prolly didnt tighten the screws enough (tight but not too tight) to its original spec or that's just how it is when you replace fog lamps and manually reattach it? the good thing, of course, is the whole lamp was replaced, not just repaired... just fussing over it to see how durable these things are (ok not to the point where ill destroy it of course) ive tried looking for where the three screws are placed (on the web), are they all attached to the back of the foglamp with a triangular pattern such that one screw's in the middle and the two are on the lower left and right? (or something like that)

they are just screws into plastic in the bumper (no nutplate) so if overtightened will strip and if striped will not hold. and then you have the foglight that is loose like what you had before. was probably overtightened at the factory or prep in sanfran if sport front bumper.

thanks dkswim. prolly right, but in any case, the slack/give of the fog after dealer replaced it is much better now that it is before. i guess that's what mike1981 always mentioned about build quality. compared to his experience, this is nothing. as mentioned earlier, dealer said bracket was broken so replaced the fogs. ive let it be now since ive come to accept that the acuras built in the states will not be as "tight" as the japanese made vehicles . i still love my rdx though. amongst the line up, i only like the rdx -- taking price into consideration of course - the tl is good but pricey for me, the tsx has not enough gadgetry (eg. awd) for the price - anyway i digress.

[btw, in my curiosity, i tried to see how much give the audi q7's foglights had, and strangely enough, it's the same as my rdx - after fixing it. the fogs of the mb/bmw are might more solid. toyotas are crap too].
