finally saw an '10
and i must say, wow am i glad i own an 08.
not trying to knock those that got a new one, but man, thing looks like a suziki in person, the additions just do not work on this car. I got to see the 2010 right next to an 09 and damn.
Since our nose comes to a point, and the nose is a relatively narrow one, the big grille and pronounced fogs/chrome make the nose look so small, beaky, and buggy-like it put me off instantly. The old grille gave a more masculine stance due to its wide and thin upper lip and shallow inlet. Much more aggressive, and compared to the new beak, more luxurious. Acura put lip stick on a pig for the 2010, the additions just do not work/flow with the RDX. Either way, finnnaaallly seeing it in person will make me wait for a redesign or skip out from acura.

lol...couldnt be further from the truth.
pre-10 the RDX has a sporting look...the 2010 looks like its made to appeal to 40, 50 somethings, given your age, looks like it worked! The appearance is much more laid back, but the fake-luxury vibe is terrible. thats not what the RDX was meant to be, at least when it was released.

When I bought my 09, they had '10s there two. The 09 was 1500 cheaper but the 2010 had automatic headlights (referring to base), a backup camera, and the seat leather seemed thicker. Considering I spent 500 on a backup camera alone, the sole reason I got an 09 was because the 2010 was so hideous...even down to its honda accord-like wheels. The 2010 was also quieter...the two stage fan would have been nice but the thicker turbo ductwork muffled the sweet turbo wine. Extra ambient lighting was also cool...but can easily be added aftermarket.
The dealer thought I was stupid to get the 09...after i signed the paperwork...before that he kept on going about how I was right and how he has the only 09 left in the region and he would not negotiate down more for that fact.

They should have updated the interior with a new modern look. I like the current look, but it could use a little updating IMO.
The front end is where I have issue. I just can't get used to that beak and the fog light housings. The square look of the fogs on the TL and MDX is what I'd like to have seen here.
The rest of the RDX looks good to me, and I like the changes to performance and sound overall, atleast on paper without actually driving one.

congrats and enjoy. I feel like acura made its changes to have it appeal to different buyers/groups. Sales werent working with its current look...maybe they are onto something have the truck appeal to more financially sound groups? instead of the empty nester late 20/30 somethings urban city goer whatever acura called it, maybe they are trying to appeal to a more established buying group. Take whatever ricer look the RDX had (not saying it even had it) and slap on more maturity, and there you have it. The front of the 2010 changes the entire scheme for me.

If my '08 had all the features and updates as my '10 does I would still have it. Fugly front on the '10? Yes, but I only have to look at it if I want to.
P.S. Looked at your mpg data/charts. Impressive!!! Do you have OCD by any chance?

well...i woudlnt really go as far to say "all the features" of an 2010. its essentially the same. The only tangible things are rather minute. I honestly wouldnt like a softer ride. I dont care for the 08 the way it is. Nothing trumps the drivability of the 2007. That was the RDX at its purest & best form.
I would appreciate the 2010's quietness if it is in fact quieter. other than that, moving around a button? ambient lighting? honestly ? lol who gives a shit. only thing worth noting is the usb hub.

Wow, what was I thinking when I got my 2010 RDX? Seriously though, I love the '10 so much better than earlier models. The front end has a 'Bird of Prey' look that I love. The Interior is incredible. The center stack has a high tech look that impresses everyone I have had in the car, including me. I know the MDX has the better set-up with the hard drive stereo (like my CTS) but I don't like the fake wood all around it. Probably will be in the 2011 RDX though.
I must be Acura's demographic for this year as I (50ish) love the look inside and out.
Remember, 4 guys have told Christy Brinkley to get the hell out of their bed(divorce). Art is in the eye of the beholder.

I think keeping track of fuel data is far from OCD, but any of us that are on here posting about our cars on a daily/weekly basis clearly all have a little OCD in us!
The data recently has dropped because of two factors...it got COLD here in Cleveland and I've been doing nearly ALL stop and go City driving.

I am personally not a 2010 fan, mainly because of the big, chrome grill on the RDX and all the other Acuras. I also can't stand the wheels on the 2010. Mike is right, people make too much of the minor changes they made.

Are you referring to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
