I noticed on my front cross bar that it has 4 Torx size 25 bolts that screw in threads on bar are loose and have 2 that will not tighten. Seems threads in bar may be stripped.

Can any one suggest a fix who has experienced this?

Or will I need a new bar and if so only dealer has it?

That is by design. The front and rear bars are able to slide fore and aft, and the bars need to be able to "stretch" or "shrink" as the rails taper in toward the rear of the car. Just make sure that Torx screw that secures the cross bars to the rail is tightened down and you should be fine.

 

I was thinking that was the case as i was unable take the loose screws out. Thanks!
