Acura proposes an electrified riff on its venerable Super-Handling AWD that combines a 310-hp, 265-lb-ft direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 with a 40-hp, 96-lb-ft electric motor and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission at the front, abetted by a pair of 27-hp, 52-lb-ft electric motors driving the rear wheels.

I bet we don't see this trickle down to some/all models until the all new RL hits the road.
I think Acura should make all their cars with the electric hybrid sh-awd system to be the first "performance hybrid" luxury brand.
I thought Honda/Acura was working on a turbo diesel v-6 at the same time as the I4 turbo diesel? I4 TD for the RDX and V6 TD for the MDX and add the hybrid sh-awd system. You could range between 450-550 miles per tank in either vehicle.

im sure it will take a couple years, but if what Honda claims is true, that this stuff is more ready to market than it is in development, their 3 year plan may hold true. ID say look for new Acura models to implement at least the SHAWD stuff, and leave room for mid model change upgrades.
