does the VSA on or off affect aceleration?
Just wondering, I haven't had a chance to test it since I thought about it..but..will a 07 RDX SH-AWD turbo accelerate any faster with the VSA off, like on a TL?
I'm guessing it won't make any difference since it doesn't wheel spin much if any.
And, I never thought I'd ever say this, but changing out to a K&N air filter actually made a positive difference-seems like the turbo spools up quicker & comes on harder

I don't think VSA would make a difference unless you are trying to accelerate in a bad weather or slippery situation? I imagine the 2.3L turbo with no boost under 2000 rpms is only making 100-120 hp pushing +4000lbs vehicle with sh-awd+5AT. The RDX is pretty slow off the line; but, makes up for it once the turbo kicks in. You can get a little faster 0-60 times if you press the brake and accelerator at the same time to raise the rpms into boost range before accelerating. At a dead stop without using the brake pedal method, the RDX will bog down if you just floor the accelerator. I have to gradually apply the gas as the boost levels increase to the fastest 0-60 times if I don't use the brake pedal method.
Boost does come on a little sooner and higher after the Hondata reflash; but, I've never seen the flashing VSA light during hard acceleration.
