digging around the other 'zine forums, found this gem...
so in the RL forum, someone posted how to get to the onboard diagnostics.
well, logic told me that since acuras tend to share the same, or similiar systems, that this nifty gem should work in the RDX. mind you, that this may only apply to the tech packaged equipped RDXs.
to access the onboard diagnostics:
Map, Cancel, Menu- hold all 3 buttons for 5 seconds; secret screen will show up…
i actually just did this 5 minutes ago for shats and giggles to see if it worked, and low and behold, it did.
here are just a few of the things you can do:
so if you were wondering what the useless fact of the day was, there it is boys. enjoy.
i take no responsibility if you should hose your system while changing things around. enter at your own risk. no purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

here are just a few of the things you can do:
- diag and adjust the monitor settings (color, brightness, gray level, screen positioning)
- perform a system check (make sure that the radio, rear cam, xm module, meter, etc) are all functioning and communicating with the system.
- adjust the mic level
- adjust the yaw sensor (you probably want to keep this on auto)
- perform a system check on the nav
- see the software and dvd map versions
- calibrate solar sensor (you probably want to keep this on auto, too)
- status of the F-CAN (i assume this is for the controller area network. this is a status only screen)
- adjust the solar sensor (keep this on auto, as well)
- apparently, datalogging can be done.
- there's also mention of a pc card, however, there isnt one installed.
so if you were wondering what the useless fact of the day was, there it is boys. enjoy.

apparently i missed the edit window, so i'll throw this last gem in:
tire calibration - i assume that with this screen, you can either make the adjustments yourself, or keep it on auto, and that this is with regards to adjusting its measurement on the tires for speed calibration. so, if you go from the stock 18"s to bigger rims/tires, that you can make the changes to the system so that the speedo is properly calibrated. this is all just my assumption, but it makes sense...but i can be wrong.

no problem. i agree, the settings are set on auto by default...no use trying to calibrated it myself and mess it up, eventhough you can just revert it back to auto.
i think through the diag mode, you can also upgrade the dvd nav, if you so choose to order the software upgrades forthe map....but i also wonder if at the download screen, new features can also be installed as well...hmmmmm

maybe there's an alternate input connection somewhere in the RDX where you can hook you're lap top to, to perform logging, and maybe even upload hondata to? i could be wrong, of course...
