So I go to open my rear hatch today....nothing. I think that maybe I didn't unlock the doors, so I try again....nothing. So I am looking for other ways to open it and the only other way is to crawl through to the back, pop off a little cover, push a lever and then push it open.

Am I missing some button somewhere? Is there a button in the glovebox. NO A little lever by the gas door release. NOT SO MUCH. A button on the fob. HELL NO. I guess the "young professional "demagrahic doesn't use the rear cargo area.

All of this and I have to leave for training tonight. I guess I am going to have a find a dealer where I will be and take it in.

 

Try the button near the rear-camera. It opens my hatch.

 

Yes it was the thing that wasn't working. Magically it is working again but it it still a design oversight. It that latch goes bad then you are hosed and have to crawl to the back with a screwdriver and a flashlight.
