Angry Denso 673-2318 Are TRASH!!!

I am very unhappy with these parts.

I installed these parts march of 2023. I immediately had issues I could not diagnose. If the temperature was below 50 degrees my car would crank and crank and crank before it would start. once the car was started it ran fine. No check engine light. I replaced various parts to try and fix this. Fuel regulator, MAP sensor, not CEL. Summer came and with no cold weather my car ran fine.

Now Oct 2023. my acrua wont start with could weather. it cranks and cranks and cranks before it starts. The car is idling poorly. Died at intersection. I decide to change the coils to the coils that were previously installed.

Car now starts up no Problem. Idles fine. Runs way better.

The problem was these garbage parts. Denso is supposed to be the best. i thought there were the OEM supplier. What the heck is going on? I wasted all sorts of time, money, and energy trying to fix this. CHINESE TRASH.

what the hell guys? Did I get counterfeits or is denso a shit company now?

Rock auto. Also, BTW. the Denso customer service is beyond awful. I will never buy a single part with the name denso again.

Is Denso Shit now?

I bought denso coils from Rock Auto. My car had all sorts of issues that were finally solved by replacing these coils. I contacted Denso customer service and they were rude, passive aggressive, and smart. offered no help. What the hell?

They were made in China.

I will never buy a part with denso on the name again.

I'll leave this thread open but the other two repetitive threads are getting closed. There's no need for multiple posts on the same topic.

I just put a DENSO crank position sensor in my Corvette and you have me doubting my decision.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the entire company is trash because of one isolated incident. Have you tried getting replacement DENSO coils and see if you are experiencing the same issue?

I don't know, but Denso sounds like something you'd call a person that's dense. For electrical parts I always use OEM. Yes, it costs a bit more, but is much safer. I usually print out an online cost with shipping and take it to the dealership and they match the price and save 25% or more.

Denso makes many oem Honda/Acura products and so does NGK etc. So OP must have gotten a lemon, generally denso parts are pretty good.

Are you sure the issue was properly diagnosed? It could very well have been something else?

I don't think so, but be a little Mod tyrant if you want to. A discussion about Denso in a general is not inappropriate.

you could have just asked a mod to move this thread to a general discussion thread but keep crying

Denso Coils Are Trash Part 2

I had two sets of denso coils from Rock Auto. both ran like trash and the car wouldn't start cold. AVOID.

Before you yap about rock auto not being genuine parts, I spoke to denso, and they know who rock auto buys from denso doubts they are counterfeit.

I trust rockauto...
at this point though, even an oem supplier like Denso would likely source a lot of their pieces/manufacturing to cheap Chinese market stuff. It's crazy...
Case in point, I was shopping crank pulleys on fcp and the febi/bilstein was manufactured in china while the lesser known vaico is in Italy. Global economy
has totally changed the game.
