Dealer and parts recommendations

After the recent purchase of our 08 tech and internet ordering of a few accessories I just wanted to make a couple of recommendations.
Appletree Acura in Asheville, NC was great to deal with. Because they are a small dealer, I didn't think we had a chance of getting any discount. As it turns out, we got a great deal. They didn't have the color combo we wanted on their lot but trucked one in from Charlotte with 9 miles on the odometer. It showed up 3 days later! I would recommend our salesman Ed Burt.
As for parts, the cheapest place I could find online was DCH Acura of Temecula, CA. They have a store on ebay. Their parts manager is Richard Castillo. Real easy to work with. I ordered the splash guards for $60, the rubber mat for the cargo area for $95, and 3 oil Honda oil filters with crush washers for $15. I messed up the order through ebay and ended up getting charged $10 for shipping. (It was supposed to be free with 3 items) I wrote to Richard and he made good on the deal by sending me 2 additional oil filters just as I asked. Fedex tracking numbers tel me my order will arrive on Friday. I couldn't be more pleased with the service.

do you know the manufacturer of the filters for the RDX?

Filtech, Fram or Toyo Roki ?

Thanks

No I don't. From the pictures on the website all I can see is that they are blue and have Honda written on them. I will check them out more throughly when I receive them on Friday and let you know.

ya there are 3 types of filters with honda on them (blue) but depending on where you buy they are made by different companies (fram and filtech mostly, the s2000 filter is made by toyo roki (HQ))

I wished the s2k filter would fit perfectly on the RDX (have tons sitting at home for the lude and was for the crv too)

RDX's filter looks a bit bigger.

The best place for RDX parts and accessories is ebay.

I'm confused. Received my filters yesterday. They seem really small. Part number is 15400-PLM-A02. Made in Canada. Also say Honeywell on them. Are these even the right ones?

Thumbs up

I discovered the RDX filter to be the same as the oil filter for my 2006 Honda Civic.

Same exact filter, same part number, etc., except I paid less for the Honda filter when I bought it from the dealership.

Thanks for the tip on Acura parts on ebay. I'll give it a try.
cheers,
John

Yes, they are the correct filters. Those would be considered the Fram type as Honeywell owns the Fram brand.
