I have a 2011 RDX which at high speed (80-100 km/h) I hear a rattle coming from the right hand side. I've marked on the photo below the approximate (as best I can) location of the noise source.
1. It there something in the dash around this area this moves/rotates/etc the could make a noise at high speed?
2. How would I gain access to this location to investigate?
Maybe dumb question, but have you ruled out the glove box door and/or any contents within the glove box itself? Beyond that, I would remove the glovebox and check behind it for anything loose. Maybe someone has a wrong cabin filter in there, or just didn't secure it properly.
I had a good look but could see anything loose up there. So as you suggested I checked the filter and it was clogged with leaves, branches, etc. So maybe that was it....I'll find out next time I drive on the highway (in a few weeks). If not solved I'll update the forum!
