CR-V owner needing help with RDX wheels

Hey there everybody. I am the owner of a 2008 CR-V (believe me I wish it was an RDX), and I really dislike the stock 17''s that came with it and plan on purchasing some wheels off of a stock 2008 RDX (the 18''s). I am humbly asking for help in that I'm not sure if they'd fit correctly, and assuming they do, if I would have to buy Honda TPMS sensors to replace the Acura ones. Last but not least, would I need to have the tires professionally installed to insure that the TPMS system was still in sync? I tried researching this stuff online but I never got a concrete answer! Thanks so much in advance!!!

It'll fit without any problem. You can get the TPMS sensors on eBay for a good price.

Agreed, the RDX wheel and tire will bolt right on, but the TPMS sensor is not compatible with the CR-V transceiver.

If you want TPMS you'll have to have the tires dismounted from the RDX rims and correct sensors installed. The good news is your CR-V sensors will fit right into the RDX rims. You could have the CR-V tires dismounted to use those sensors, or you could buy an additonal set for the RDX wheels.

The part number for CR-V TPM sensors is 42753-SWA-A06. You can buy them online from the Honda E-Store for $98.88 ea. Honda E-Store

If you use your own, they will of course work immediately. New ones may work right away or they may need to be initialized. This is simple and your dealer can do it quickly.

If you use the Honda E-Store, I just noticed there are multiple versions of the CR-V listed (LX, EX, 2WD, 4WD, etc) and they have different part numbers for the TPM sensor.

To be sure, enter the system with your VIN, or check at a dealer.

Hey there. I bought the wheels yesterday (off of craigslist, the original owner had purchased the OEM 19''s at the dealership with the car, so they tires/rims are completely virgin) and plan on putting them on tomorrow during work. I'll be sure to post pics

These wheels seem to be fairly prevalent on ebay (relatively speaking)(and for fairly cheap money).

I'm sorry Simba but everytime I read your posts I'm always thinking that the hot woman in your icon is talking to me. I have to stop with the voices in my head.

We don't get many sunny days up in Seattle this time of year so I took the car to the back yard to get a nice pic. I really like the wheels on the car, I think it makes the car look much more aggressive (ha, well as can be it's a CR-V folks) than with the stock wheels.
Edit-Hopefully now it's working

Wow, looks much better. Now just get those front windows tint-matched to the back ones, and it will look a lot nicer!

They look great. Is that a Honda emblem in the center cap? I wondered if the Honda center cap would fit. Nice idea.

They actually look better on the CR-V than they do on the RDX. Good job.

Nah, looks good on both, more-so agressive on the RDX, IMO.

How much are you asking for the TPMS?
What is the part number on them?

Thanks.

I will sell for 90 dollars shipped (to the US). I can set up an ebay auction too if you prefer (at your expense). All four brand new by the way, never used
