Color Question -
Hi everyone! I am ready to join the RDX club, but I can't make a decision on the darn color!!
Snuck out to the dealership Sunday when they were closed and looked at everything in the rare winter sunlight . We noticed some color discrepancy between the big ole bumpers and the actual car. My SO says its because the polyurethane is hard to match???
Has anyone else noticed this? I especially saw it on the white pearl.
So far I'm leaning toward the CGP or even the silver or red. (Although the MDX Cherry puts the RDX red to shame). No blue for me, getting rid of a blue truck.
I'm really looking forward to the RDX - I've had trucks for so long. Last car was an 88 Integra and before that a 280zx2+2. Looking forward to a FUN car again!!!
Thanks!

I had an '05 diamond white pearl TL and noticed the color differences between the plastic and metal panels you are describing. It does seem to affect that color more than most, but I noticed it a bit when looking at the silver RDX. It seems the darker the color, the less obvious this problem is. I have a CGP and can recommend it whole heartedly. I have yet to see a red, but a friend of mine has said he likes it better than mine
. One warning on the CGP is that in some light it has a bit of a purplish hue to it, so make sure your machismo can handle that.

Well, for me, color was not much of a choice (that I left myself). I'm done with washing the car every week. I Knew before I even chose a car...the color choice was white or silver. I would consider tan.
I love the look of the red and blue against the emblem and chrome. In the end, the maintenance of it all did not get my win. I stuck with my choice of silver. Like my parents asked me..."Why did you get another silver car?" I replied..."Why did you get another black standard poodle and name it Jolie?" Uh...their last five dogs were black standard 'Jolie's'...I rest my case.

I agree - the Cherry MDX is the same as the Cherry used on the Pilot. It is fairly rare and even though I'm not a "red" person - that color is awesome. The Cherry Pilot with the Saddle interior really turned my crank.
I have a red/taupe RDX and really like the look of this color combination. It does look nice with the contrasting grille and since its a metallic red, looks different given different lighting. In full sun it is a fairly bright red and under street lights or shade looks a bit darker. I hope the linked photo does it some justice, but you really should see one in person.

Thanks for all the replies. Yea, I have had one black truck (which was great until I drove it through too much Tx brush & cactus
). Then went on a white truck binge which worked fine.. then went into this blue "city-fied" truck (F150 lariat).
Right now I think I'm still leaning toward GCP with black interior. St. Louis isn't as hot at TX even at its worst. Ready to load up the bikes and of course road trips!!! Darker ext colors also seem to work best with those stock rims that I will have to live with for a while.
Dealer has a lot of selection, so I shouldn't have to wait too much longer once I make the call. We saw the RDX at the Chicago auto show and as soon as we got back to STL I had to drive it.
Thanks again!
