Christmas Miracle

First and foremost, Merry Christmas to all.

Looks like we're in for a serious snow storm very soon. I'm so psyched!! Tire pressures in check. Gas tank full. All fluids checked. Shovel in the back of the RDX (just in case I get stuck!)

For those of you that will be affected by this Nor-Easter tomorrow and into Monday, be safe, and for those of you that are tempted to go driving in it (like me) with your RDX SH-AWD, have fun!!!

OHHH NOOO! I hope it's not too bad.... I was looking at TWC, and they said that we (NYC) should be getting between 5 to 10 inches starting Sunday morning, going all the way through to Monday evening.... That means I have to leave the car in my lot and leave it there until most of the snow clears.... I guess if the snow does come down heavy, I won't be using my car for a couple of days...

What is the forecast for your area?

I'm on the coast of CT basically on the CT/NY boarder. Coast of CT is supposed to get slammed pretty good. We'll see as my faith in weathermen, even with all of today's technology, is only so-so. But, we're definitely getting snow.. how much.. that's the tricky question. I heard 12+ inches possible where I am with white out conditions during parts of Sunday.

Yeah man. Last winter was so lame. I'm hoping for a long snowy winter this season. Absolutely love it!! But don't get me wrong. By the time late March rolls around I'm thinking Spring. But for the time being, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....!

Well if last winter was lame, I hope this winter is even LAMER! I can't stand the snow! I used to like it when I was younger, but now I absolutely hate it! I hope those meteorologists were drunk when they were giving the forecast for the Northeast and confused us for Canada or something!

I agree. Bring it on and lets see what our RDXs can handle! I'm ready. I'm back to work Monday very early AM. If it's really bad I know for a fact many of my co-workers will probably bail and not come in at all.

I will be in unless this storm is beyond ridiculous as I'm on OEM tires with about 11,000 miles and average 5/32 inch tread.

Curbed a wheel last night going about 2 miles per hour in the snow. The wheel will be ok with some sanding and gloss, but my ego will be bruised for days...I wasnt even doing anything stupid at that point. :-\

Take care, be safe, and no one is invinceable.

Well, we're right in the middle of it. 7 inches yesterday and we woke up several more this morning. I had a bad experience with the RDX last season in this deep snow but had to get out today. Our RDX has some brand new Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max CS tires. This time the car went through everything I threw at it. Deep snow >12", around corners, and up steep grades in and around our neighborhood. Maybe I underestimated this thing. It seems like all it need is a good set of tires and it handles the snow without any problem.

I'm near Tuxedo, NY and according to the news this morning, they got 26.5 inches. I'd say that's about right.

Our puppy was disturbed by the snow this morning. He was crying because he couldn't find a spot to go potty.

meanwhile here in vancouver, we're getting nothing but rain. Some reports were predicting below average temperature and above average snowfall... and so far, nothing!!!

Guess it'll be another season I'm using my snow tires without snow...

I'm in Lake Tahoe, and mother nature has already dumped 6 inches yesterday and another big storm is coming tomorrow.

Hope traffic won't be too bad on Wednesday.

Happy Holidays all.

I just got back from Tahoe/Reno. The drive home in the rain was horrible, but the RDX handled it like a champ.

I live in North Dakota and we got hit with two seperate blizzards on Thursday and Friday. Around 250 miles of I-94 and I-29 is still closed and no travel is advised in the eastern part of the state. I was impressed with how well the RDX with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tires handled some very deep snow and icy roads.

The snowplow got stuck while trying to clear our street.

Here's a pic of the Walmart parking lot from a few minutes ago (dozens of semis are stranded due to Interstate 94 being closed). The roads here have had compacted snow and ice like this for the past few weeks.

Damn. The mailbox is barely clearing the snow. Nice!

Here is my RDX in the snow from last weekend's blizzard.
My area got hit with +18" of snow.

The RDX handled like a Champ with no problems.
