cargo tray or net

Anyone use the cargo tray or cargo net? They seem like good ideas now that I'm thinking about some skiing and mountainbiking in my future...

I have the cargo tray and find it useful for keeping the interior clean. The raised edges keep the melted snow in the tray. The nice thing about the Acura tray is that it fits perfectly.

I also have a cargo net but it is a generic one. It is not as tight fitting as the one Acura sells for the RDX. I just use it to keep boots and other gear from sliding around on the net.

My salesperson gave us he original OEM cargo net as a gift, and it works well for keeping our groceries and other items from rolling around.

The cargo tray would be useful, but the turnk floor panel already serves as a "tray" for putting wet items, with it's grooves to contain the wet stuff. Albeit, it is not as good as the specifically designed cargo tray, but it works for me.

The cargo tray only covers the area behind the back seats. If you are folding down the back seats to carry bigger items like bicycles or skis, then the rear cargo liner accessory is a much better choice.

For carrying groceries, the cargo organizer accessory (or a 3rd party equivalent) works better than the cargo net.

I have the cargo net and find it very useful. I see no need for the cargo tray, unless you carry a lot of wet or dirty stuff.

I have the cargo liner. I haul my 2 labs with the back seats down frequently. The liner does a good job keeping dog hair, dirt, etc from getting on the back of the seats, cargo area, etc. I also have the rear bumper aplique (sp?) to keep the paint on the top of the rear bumper from getting scratched as the dogs go in/out of the cargo area.

I have the cargo liner and recently I purchased the WeatherTec Cargo Tray. This tray covers the entire cargo area oppose to the OEM cargo tray which leaves part of the cargo carpet expose.

I bought the Cargo Organizer cuz it keeps stuff from rolling around in the back and banging up against the sides of the cargo area. I do not see the need for the tray cuz you can always take the cargo cover off and lay it upside down to get protection when carrying wet stuff, etc.

I have the cargo tray and it fits perfectlly. The only problem is taht it only covers a small part of the trunk. On the other hand the tray does have a cool RDX logo.

I have the cargo liner and the cargo tray (dealer threw in the tray). I think the liner is much more useful and I pretty much leave it in all the time. I think the liner would work best with skis and bikes as they will take up an area much larger than what the tray or net cover. The only time I was glad to have the tray was when I had a cooler full of ice that leaked out. Luckily I had it sitting in the tray and all the water was contained by the lip

I have the cargo organizer. It keeps things from flying around and folds up when I need to put suitcases in the trunk. I don't even have to clip it in most of the time as it doesn't move around too much.

funny

i also use both. my thought was to put things on the cargo tray to protect the carpet and use the net to keep them down on the cargo tray. seems to work well so far.

I do the same thing. The tray came with the car (dealer tried to charge me, then tried to charge me "cost", then told me they'd find a car without it, then just delivered me the car that was right there with it anyway). I bought the net online as I need something to keep "articles from shifting during transit".

I actually think the tray helps a little with both tasks. It's obvious that it helps protect the carpet, but it also provides a nice defined ridge around the area covered by the net so that if something very slippery is under the net it has the net to keep it from bouncing out of the tray and the edge of the tray to keep it from sliding out from under the net...
