Cargo Space

Just something to consider ... I know until I looked at the numbers I didn't realize how much a difference there was:

RDX - ?? (should be close to CRV)
CRV - 33.5 (72 with seat down !)
TL - 12.5
Accord - 14.0
Odyssey (behind 3rd row when it is up) - 38.4

I gotta tell you ... my wife and I with twins can get a LOT of stuff behind the Ody 3rd row without needing to drop them back.

I think I am gonna be in the hunt for this thing right up until the end.

I think the height of the RDX, which looks lower than the CR-V, decreases the total cargo volume.

That picture pretty much assures us that the CRV sliding rear seat won't make it into the RDX. It doesn't appear to flip n fold either, hopefully it just folds flat 50/50 or 60/40.

Imagine how much more cargo space there would be if the RDX's second row disappeared into the cargo floor like the Odyssey's 3rd row. So if the seats are up, you have an even deeper well to store things.

Let me just tell you ... that would be a HOME run ! The disappearing seat idea has two things good about it. It folds flat, but also it is a great deep arear for groceries or whatever when the (in this case) 2nd row is up.

Maybe Justin or someone else knows? I think the problem is the interior of the concept looks pretty conceptual and not production like.

Remember, its only a concept. The production version will be far different.

I seriously doubt Honda would take a step back and not offer a sliding rear seat. Expect more than than 33.5 CF the CR-V currently has, although as Soopa mentioned, how much of that is actually useable.
