Bit Bullet - Bought Flashpro - Finally

Yes, I finally did it. Going to see what most of you have been talking about with my first mod to the ECU. Have noticed that the pickup at the start is a little hesitant, plus want to see if I get any better gas mileage. Newbie, so bear with me if I ask stupid questions once I receive it. Will start with the CPE intake (thanks Wrench) and Flashpro and see what transpires.

Congratulations hues!
You will love the CP-E. It wakes up the RDX and makes you hear the turbo spool and bov!
On a side note be aware the the tunes from Honda a are BASE tunes. This means that they are dsigned to get you on the road to your local tuner or like alot have done on here go to Vit. They are not by any means safe to run WOT espically with the CP-E.
Enjoy your new toys!

Thanks Jake. Just received notice the Flashpro is to be delivered tomorrow. Saturday is the day I try and hook it up and see if I notice a difference. I don't even know what to expect, so I will give my thoughts. Don't have CPE intake yet, so will probably be asking what to do once I install it. Such as remap the Flashpro or not. Don't have to worry about WOT yet, I am a baby and haven't had it above 4500 rpms yet. It goes too fast in third even at that level. Are you all out there going 90 mph in third gear? Stay tuned (no pun intended)

It came on Friday, I watched all the videos, loaded on computer, took a couple times to register, than loaded what I think is the tuned map on the car. It took something as my MPG reading was reset. Took it for a spin last night approx. 60 miles roundtrip. Not a dramatic difference it seems, but I did not know what to expect. One thing I noticed is that the boost gauge seems to go to max quicker when engaged. The other thing I noticed is that it seemed to actually not utilize boost above 70 mph under light throttle as much. Could all be my imagination. Need more time. Now here is my question. Before I get a professional tune, what do I do now. Datalog and look at a bunch of numbers and graphs? What do you all do with the Flashpro?

Did you do a lot of street driving or freeway? You should notice ALOT less boost lag while climbing through the gears. Especially at lower rpms.

I would not worry about data logging until you get that CPE from Josh.
Then let us know with a couple logs.
Best way is from 2500 rpm in 3rd all the way to redline shift.

Who will be doing your final tune?

I will go with Vittune like everyone else. I was reading his website and blog, so it seemed the best choice. Will wait though like you said to get the CPE intake. Everyone seems to also get the downpipe, well everyone that is doing any mods. So I may have to think about that one before the tune. This is like upgrading a computer, though much more expensive. My girlfriend commented, "You paid how much for that little Flashpro thing?" She just doesn't understand. They will go out and pay $500 for a purse........

In response to your question on Flashpro, I think everyone here agrees that the Flashpro should be your first mod. It will allow for tuning on any other mods, the most popular being DP, CAI, and ETS I/C. I will be putting on the CAI and reflashing again. It is hot here in Florida now, so the car seems to lag just a little in the extreme hear. I guess that is why the ETS I/C may help. My goal is to put on the CAI and maybe the ETS I/C, then get is tuned to the way I drive, which is a sissy compared to some of the people on here. But that's ok. I spent yesterday putting a second coat of Meguires Mirror Glaze on it.

I drive like a sissy too it's great!

What flashpro does once you get all yor mods in is to reach the potential of this beautiful engine. Vit will help you time to the edge of knock minus a bit. Do you get 93 octane regularly where you live?

Sissy RDX drivers unite. Until we feel like stepping on it. Since this is the first turbo I have ever owned, I don't know how it compares to any other ones such as the Audi, Subaru, or even the new Lexux NX. I buy 93 Octane at Costco. Haven't had any problems with it.
